It is a very recent architectural marvel of the Bahai faith and is Lotus shaped and has rightly been given the name. It is made of marble, cement, dolomite & sand. 9 am to 6 pm, closed on Mondays.
With this level of busyness, it's hardly serene and quiet to pray or meditate but more of getting yourself physically and mentally challenged. 2.5/10 pts recommended on Delhi's top spots.
It serves as the Mother Temple of the Indian subcontinent. Inspired by the lotus flower, its design is composed of 27 free-standing marble clad "petals" arranged in clusters.
A must see. The temple and gardens around it are beautiful, Inside it's a quiet atmosphere. Even if you do not pray or meditate, the quietness inside the temple is relaxing.
